Vikas School is a special school that has been established for Children with intellectual Disabilities. It delivers all the elements that ate utmost importance in the education of these children. The main object of the Vikas school is to provide Comprehensive education and services to the Deaf and Intellectually Disabled Students and transform them into the normal Social Spectrum. Physiotherapy equipment can help improve muscle strength and flexibility. In addition to medical treatment, many bodybuilding, strength training and physiotherapy equipment for overall fitness are donated.

School Information

Vikas School was started on 2nd October, 1994. Children are admitted in four categories namely Primary, Secondary, Pre-Vocational and Vocational. Average age is 3 to 20 years. The Institute has a Headmistress who is a qualified Special Educator and another Special Educator and two Teacher Assistants, along with two non-teaching staff members who are well qualified. The school strictly follows the curriculum designed by NMH according to age and IQ levels.

Project Inaugural Information

This project was implemented by Bighelp on 29-Jan-2024 at the premises of Vikas School and donated the Physiotherapy equipment to the school. A brief meeting was conducted and dignitaries have spoken along with Mr. C.V. Raja, Project Committee Chairman, Naupada project who narrated Bighelp activities and appreciated the efforts of the Vikas School working for the Mentally Retarded children from underprivileged background for the last 30 years. The Physiotherapy equipment is presented to Vikas School by Bighelp Naupada Project Committee members. Following personnel attended on this occasion: Mr. C. Vijayananda Raja Project Committee Chairman, Naupada project Mr. L. Jaya Krishna Reddy Project Director, Naupada project Mr. Sastry Dwivedula, Manavaseva Foundation USA Mr. Y. Vishnu Rao Secretary, Vikas School School teachers & Staff Public Local Journalists The program was concluded with vote of thanks by Vishnu Rao Secretary, Vikas School .
