Manikanta is a son of petty mobile vendor and dream to become an engineer but can not continue his schooling due to financial problems and he was at the edge of discontinuing his studies. His father is a sick person. Moreover he will fall sick very often due to this reason he is not able to earn daily family expenses more than 3 or 4 days in a month. The family is facing financial crisis. The earnings made by his mother alone are not sufficient for maintenance of his family besides medical expenses of his sick father. At this juncture he requested a sponsorship from Bighelp and promised to work hard if he gets the support. Bighelp sponsored his education on conditional basis to improve his performance periodically. Manikanta is a good Cricket player too.

Bighelp sponsored Maninkanta when he was studying 8th class in 2007. At the beginning he was an above average student but financially very poor and about to discontinue his studies. Bighelp project committee working in his village determined that Manikanta would be benefited if they provide him the necessary guidance and make him focus on his studies by sponsoring his education under sponsor-a-child program. There after they took all necessary steps to improve his caliber. All the sincere efforts and hard work of our project committee has paid off when they see Manikanta passed 10th Grade with a total marks 549 (91.5%) in public examination during the academic year 2009-10.
