Zilla Parishad High School at Patha tekkali village, Andhra Pradesh, India serves 511 students in and around the Patha tekkali village. Most of these children are from socio and economic backward families and travel to school on bicycles from surrounding villages around 5kilometers away. They park their bicycles in an open area without any shade exposing them to hot sun. These bicycles get damaged during the sunny days when they get exposed to more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit temperature. Some children are reluctant to come to school during sunny days to prevent their bicycles from being damaged. It discourages parents to send their children to school every time they spend money to repair their bicycles damaged due to sun. Hence the school head master approached Bighelp with a proposal to construct a shed for parking the bicycles and provide shade to the bicycles.
